Mount Briscoe Organic Farm A working farm with luxury accommodation, orchards, woodland. 🌳 Organic food, workshops & events Mount Briscoe conjures handmade, homemade, artful and unique.

We also produce and show Registered Irish Draught horses and rare breed pedigree Irish Moiled Cattle. Plans are a foot to restore Mount Briscoe’s two acre walled garden to a vibrant kitchen & cut flower garden. Quite the project! Events & workshops are held Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter to celebrate our seasonal produce and creative flair. Spent the morning picking pears they are from new trees planted in orchard not so long ago and this year was our first good harvest. Now to cooking and preserving them so much fruit to process in next week. But it’s a great opportunity to try new recipes.

In time will press my pears as a juice but would need a serious harvest.

Love harvest and autumn so much.

Digging potatoes today. They did remarkably well given the drought conditions and that they were sown very late mid May.

Good seed. Don’t ask the variety as I’m great at picking it but hopeless are remembering. Only two drills but double what we had last year and I’ve still got some more to dig.

Looking forward to cooking for guests in a few weeks
