That bit of rain was just what we needed! The ground was like concrete, but the Kuhn disco is finally biting into this winter barely stubble and leaving a clean pass. Hey tell me!

With the rye now finished, we’re finally onto the spring barley for real. We cut a few fields earlier that had been sold, but now it’s time to get stuck into the main crop. 🌾🚜

Harvesting oats for the last few days 🌾 This year’s crops are yielding 4 tons+ per acre – a solid result. The weather has improved but it’s about to revert back to its unpredictable self. Straw bales are coming in hard and fast. Oats are definitely a good, decent crop to grow this year! 🚜🌱 oh and the new combine is a treat

The 6-row barley has broken down and is overripe, making the harvest challenging. We’re working hard to gather as much as we can between the showers, but it’s slow going. This year’s difficult conditions seem like the time to have invested in a new combine. #724 #7530 #7810 #6930

I was just 14 years old when our new Lexion 440 arrived in the yard. After 23 years of amazing service, we bid it farewell and welcome the new Trion 650. This transition marks the end of an era and the beginning of a new chapter in our harvesting journey. #724 #7530 #7810 #6820 #6930
