🇮🇪🇬🇧 Historical Day in Drinagh 🇬🇧🇮🇪
We were honoured to welcome today, Her Excellency The British Ambassador to Ireland Kara Owen and her team to Stafford Bonded and O’Driscolls Irish Wh***ey HQ on Sinnottstown Lane along with Wexford’s own leading lady Verona Murphy
Our CEO Michael Stafford 🥃 was joined by Michael Snr (retired CEO) and his partner .williams in greeting The Ambassador and Ceann Comhairle for a boardroom introduction to Stafford Bonded our 4th generation family business est.1892 and our proud comparatively new Irish Wh***ey brand.
We thoroughly enjoyed discussing the company’s trade with the UK and Rosslare Port over its 134yr history. As well as discussing the phenomenal life of Dr. Diarmuid O’Driscoll the inspiration behind our 🏆winning Wh***ey brand, of particular interest was his time at Brocket Hall a maternity hospital during the war and his time in the Merchant Navy thereafter. Thankfully Her Excellency is a historian so enjoyed the history of it all.
Jnr also pointed out .williams’ great grandfather Daniel Edmund Williams (DEW) founded his own Irish Wh***ey Brand, Tullamore Dew…like attracts like as they say!
After a wonderful chat and tour which we were honoured to host we had a beautiful lunch in the stunning private dining room in Green Acres courtesy of James O’Connor.
A day to remember, not just for the company but also the stunning Royal Fleet Range Rover!
