Tomorrow is 12th of 12th and we are off to visit The Twelve Hotel in Barna Village for the start of their 12 days of Christmas celebrations! Join Ronan Lardner on The Live Wire from - yes! - you've guessed it ......12 o'clock!

The Twelve has invited carol singers from Saint Joseph’s National School Boleybeg & Scoil Shéamais Naofa Bearna from 12 noon. You can drop by and enjoy festive treats including the Twelve’s special Mulled Wine & Mince Pies. Plus we will have some amazing giveaways throughout the afternoon.

Dozzina is the Italian for dozen – twelve – and the appropriate price of every pizza on the menu for take away.

Pizza Dozzina sits next door to Baccus Bakery, which due to great demand recently expanded, fronts onto the Barna main road and has a street door for take-aways.

Pizza Dozzina at The Twelve, while all about the pizza, is also showcasing the finest salumi, including artisan salami, mortadella and bresaola, along with excellent cheeses, olive oils, fresh tomatoes and vegetables, all of which customers can buy to take home, as well as choosing as pizza toppings.

With dried meats and cold cuts hanging from the ceilings and a proper traditional Berkel slicer for precision slicing, Pizza Dozzina will soon be the go-to venue too for anyone looking for genuine, delicious ingredients for the finest Italian (and Irish) antipasti platters.

Pizza Dozzina at The Twelve is also the first Irish pizza kitchen to be associated with l’Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana, the official association of Napoli’s pizza makers.

It’s that time of year again at The Twelve Hotel. Blackberry season is now in full swing and on a hedgerow near you in Barna and Moycullen.

Wild berries are here for the picking. So, we're calling on all the local kids to get out and get foraging.

We'll give you a FREE Kid’s pizza or dessert pizza from Pizza Dozzina to take away for every two-good sized bags of high quality blackberries you drop into our chefs at Pizza Dozzina (on Friday and Saturday Afternoons only between 2pm - 5pm.)

Pick only the ripest berries - these will be purple-black and come off the bramble easily - as they'll be the sweetest and juiciest. Please ensure none are damaged or else the entire bag will be destroyed!

The juice stains so it's best to wear old clothes, and watch out for thorns!

Get foraging kids! And thank you berry much…
