What a super evening we had at The Martello last night with Andrew Dickey of Irish Distillers and Redbreast Whiskey

The 27 year old, full bourbon, stole the show and was a great example of how amazing a full bourbon matured whiskey can be!

The Return to The Martello

On a January Thursday, the twenty-second clear, when Wicklow winds whisper, “The whiskey is here,” we gather once more where the sea meets the stone,
at the Martello Hotel, our old tasting home.

Glasses are polished, the firelight is warm, as laughter rolls in ahead of the storm. Old friends, new drams, and stories unspun,
a society stirred, and the night just begun.

From copper and craft comes the spirit we pour,
Busker Irish Whiskey—bold, bright, and more.

Notes rise like music, grain, oak, and cheer, each sip a small journey through Ireland’s year.

So here’s to the return, to Wicklow’s fine crew, to Thursday nights shared and whiskeys tried true.

May the drams be generous, the company sound, and the Martello echo with joy all around. 🥃

We’re delighted to share that we have a very limited number of spaces available for our annual Christmas Dinner Tasting at the iconic Martello, Bray!

This is always one of the highlights of our year — great whiskey, great food, and even better company. If you’ve been before, you know how special this night is… and if you haven’t, now’s your chance to join the festive fun! 🎅🔥

🍽️ A delicious 3-course Christmas dinner

Last week saw the visit of Paddy Gilly of Clonakilty Distillery to The Martello and what a great night it was!

Paddy brought along a super line up of their whiskeys and was the ultimate professional in his delivery! The laughter was loud and often with Paddy!

A HUGE thank you to Matthew Smyth of Irish Distillers BEAT for joining us and bringing the core POWERS Irish Whiskey range and something very special indeed!

Matthews knowledge and passion for the Powers brand is absolutely fantastic and he's such an amazing assest for the brand!

Our April event is tomorrow in The Martello and Derek King and I are just a small be excited about this one! POWERS Irish Whiskey is a brand that is close to our hearts and one we are very passionate about.

We're really looking forward to welcoming Matthew Smyth of Irish Distillers BEAT to the Society, to guide us through this amazing brand!

A massive thanks to Gavin from the Garden County Distillery for hosting a fabulous evening at The Martello in Bray, last night.

We were absolutely delighted to launch our very first exclusive society bottling with GCD – a stunning 7-year-old single malt, matured in virgin oak, maple cask, and ex-bourbon barrels.

The result is this wonderful Whiskey that I'm enjoying now!
