The big 7️⃣0️⃣! 🎂
Myself and my three siblings got dealt a phenomenal hand in life with the parents that we were born to. From childhood through to adulthood, what Gerald and Marie provided for us, did with and for us, and continue to do so is incredible. In more recent years, my nieces and nephew are lucky enough to enjoy the same privileges.
Today our father Gerald turns 70. I think it took a bit of convincing for Gerald to even let us have a celebration for him, yet the same man would move mountains to help any of his extended family.
To anyone who has ever attended or benefited from an event I’ve been involved in throughout the horse world, these just simply would not be possible without the support of my father Gerald (and sister Kelly of course) keeping the wheels moving at home on the farm in my absence.
So many different people, from family and friends, helpers, language students, Airbnb guests, Social Farming participants and an array of other farm visitors will have had their experience of being in Quarryfield over the years so greatly enhanced by Gerald’s presence and kindness. What better day than today for us all to acknowledge and celebrate this.
Happy birthday to a wonderful father, and grandfather! ❤️
