๐Ÿ“ข New research from the School of Public Health, University College Cork in Ireland titled 'Hidden Hardship: Understanding the Factors Affecting Womenโ€™s Mental Health in Agriculture in Ireland' ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐ŸŒพ

Despite growing global awareness of mental health in farming, the specific challenges faced by women in agriculture remain overlooked. This new study dives deep into their unique stressors and help-seeking behaviours through in-depth interviews with female farmers.
๐Ÿ” Key Findings:
๐Ÿ‘‰ Gender-based discrimination & stigma
๐Ÿ‘‰ Stereotypical roles & lack of recognition
๐Ÿ‘‰ Gender-biased mental health services &
๐Ÿ‘‰ Barriers to seeking help due to societal expectations

๐Ÿ’ก The research calls for gender-specific mental health interventions, better service access, and stronger support networks to foster well-being and empowerment.
๐Ÿ“ˆ A healthier, more inclusive farming future starts by listening to womenโ€™s voices.
