Jordan & Cian are currently running 33 marathons in 33 days to raise awareness of Dementia and raise money to help fund research and treatment of this terrible disease. They started in the London marathon and then have been running a marathon in each county in Ireland ever since. This Sunday 24th May, they are coming to Carlow. If you are in Carlow on Sunday, please get out and support them 😊

This Saturday 21st February Carlow Mental Health Association will be doing our annual Random Act of Kindness day.

Some of our committee will be out and about in Carlow town, Tullow and Bagnelstown handing out flowers and chocolates.

Goodbye Luna 🐘💛

Today we say goodbye to Luna ‘the elephant in the room’ after a great week. Her presence was a powerful physical reminder of something so many struggle to talk about - mental health.
Her presence encouraged conversations and reminded us that it is ok to pause, speak up and ask for help.

During the week, we gave out information on the various mental health services which are available to our staff and their families, as well as inspirational quotes and a reminder of our EAP (employee assistance programme). We rounded off the week with a talk for all employees.

As Luna moves on, the message she carried stays with us. Let’s keep making space for kindness and understanding - not just today, but everyday.

We are delighted to welcome Luna the Elephant to our premises in Tinryland for the next week.
Luna is a wonderful initiative by the Carlow Mental Health Association, created to spark conversation around mental health — she represents the “elephant in the room” and encourages us all to talk, listen and support one another.
Having Luna with us is a meaningful way to promote positive mental health awareness among our staff, our customers, and the wider community. We’re proud to support this important message and to be part of a conversation that really matters.
