✨ 5 YEARS OF SECOND STREET BAKESHOP ✨

Five years ago today, Second Street Bakeshop started as a little hobby with no idea that it would turn into this!

From our very first homemade design to where we are now. It’s been 5 years of ideas, experiments, new products, and opportunities, with plenty of lessons and a whole LOT of toffee.

While running a food business in Ireland’s challenging business climate isn’t for the faint-hearted, I can honestly say there is nowhere else I’d rather be.

Here’s to 5 years of cracking toffee, taking chances, figuring it out and building something we are incredibly humbled to share.
Thank you to everyone who has bought a bag, stocked our products, shared a post, recommended us or simply enjoyed the toffee talks along the way. Here’s to the next five!

Our Toffee Popcorn Brittle has been awarded 2 Great Taste Stars ⭐⭐ and we couldn't be more delighted. This product evolved from our original Toffee Popcorn, taking everything people loved and turning it into something even crunchier, richer and more indulgent. To have that journey recognised by the Great Taste judges makes this award extra special.
A huge thank you to everyone who has supported us along the way and to the Toffee Team that make it happen 🍿💫

2025 threw everything at us — rising costs, tough calls, and plenty of no’s and “not right now”s. 😅

But the yeses made all the difference. We expanded our toffee brittle into stores across the island (including Cork & Dublin Airport), partnered with , featured in some brilliant gift hampers, and had the honour of collaborating with Hayfield Manor on an exclusive new Toffee Brittle flavour just before Christmas ✨

Add in Kickstart nationwide trial, two , and Gold at — and it’s been a year of graft, growth, and real progress. Thank you for all your support this year and Happy New Year ✨⚡️💫
