The winter ,it was rough at times the spring was late, fertiliser & fuel prices went up.the government showed little understanding of farmers' situation until the protests, but we stuck it out .we got calving finished as well as getting calves ready for the show season .

We start feeding seaweed before Xmas every year. the cows go made eating it for a few weeks and then eat very little when they get whenever it is they need out of it .we seen light red coloured cows turn darker and dull hair shine, and even start growing.
it's really good stuff all growing naturally in the irish sea. Great for our native Irish cattle breeds irish moiled

Highlight of the year.
We had an amazing summer attending shows, with one standout day at the All Ireland Young Stockperson of the Year in Ballinrobe on Sunday, 7th September. Shannon and her Droimeann heifer calf, Lisnolan Pauline, competed against children from across the 32 counties. What a fantastic experience meeting fellow enthusiasts and discussing Irish rare breeds !
We can't wait for the 2026 show season.
