🌱🐑 Lambing 2026 at Gleann Aoláin Organic Farm! 🐑🌱

Spring is truly in the air, and we’re delighted to share that the 2026 lambing season has officially started here at Gleann Aoláin Organic Farm! There’s nothing quite like this time of year — fresh grass, longer days. It’s not just us either. Lambing is also underway on the farms of the dedicated farmers we work closely with.
Together, we’re focused on giving every ewe and lamb the very best care, following organic principles and high animal welfare standards from day one.
These early weeks are always busy, but they’re also incredibly rewarding. It's the beginning of the journey toward quality assured Organic Lamb that we’re proud to supply to our customers later in the year.

Early start this morning at Gleann Aoláin Organic Farm for scanning day. Huge shoutout to Sheep Scanning Mayo for being absolute pros and getting the flock through smoothly.

​The Highlights:
✅ The ewes are in good shape.
✅ Happy enough with the scanning percentages!
✅ Plenty of heartbeats spotted on the screen.
​Being farmers, we’re never quite satisfied—we always want one more lamb per ewe! 😂 But in all seriousness, seeing the hard work pay off with a healthy scan is the best feeling.
​Now the real work begins: sorting into groups to make sure the singles and twins get the treatment they deserve.

🐑 That’s a Wrap for the Season!

We had a little extra help in packing orders today! Some elves took some time from their busy schedule to help us box up the very last of our Gleann Aoláin Organic Lamb for the season.

It’s been a whirlwind, but seeing those final orders ready to head out the door is such a rewarding feeling.

To every single person who supported us this year: Thank you. Whether you are a returning customer who has been with us from the start, or a new face trying our organic lamb for the first time, your support truly keeps us going.
As a small family farm, your orders aren't just transactions to us—they are the reason we can continue doing what we love, farming sustainably, and preserving this beautiful land at Gleann Aoláin.

We're bursting with pride that our lamb is being served in some of Westport's best restaurants! This is huge for us, a small family business, and a testament to the hard work and passion we pour into everything we do.
