πŸ’š Castlegregory TidyTowns – Four Super Value TidyTowns Competition Award Wins! πŸ’š

We’re absolutely delighted to share that Castlegregory has brought home four awards in this year’s SuperValu TidyTowns Competition:

🌍 National Village / Small Town Climate Action Award
🌿 National Leave No Trace Award
🐝 Regional Pollinator Award (South West & Mid-West)
πŸ† Endeavour Award for the biggest improvement in marks in the county (up from 293 to 310 marks!)

These awards celebrate everything that makes our village special: the teamwork, creativity, and community spirit behind every flower planted, beach cleaned, hedge trimmed, sign painted, and idea shared.
A heartfelt thank you to our brilliant volunteers, and all our regular and 2025 supporters:
* Different individuals who supported with monetary and/or material donations, taking part in our projects, and cleaning outside their front door.
* Castlegregory Community Council.
* Local community groups, in particular, The Rambling House, the Summer Festival, the Youth Group, Tri Na Ceile, and Slainte Seniors.
* St. Mary’s Church Group for hosting coffee mornings and assisting us in fundraising.
* Di**le Peninsula Open Gardens Event.
* Local schools who supported litter picks.
* Local businesses who sponsored the national litter pick
* Kerry County Council who supports us with funding through a variety of grants, and hands on with litter collection, repairs to amenities, installing the lights in the playground, advice and guidance.
* Bat Conservation Ireland who supported our Bat Mosaic Project.
* Creative Ireland who supported our Bat Mosaic Project.
* Department of Rural and Community Development and the Gaeltacht who supports us with grant funding.

You have all helped make Castlegregory cleaner, greener, and kinder to nature.

Here’s to keeping the momentum going β€” and to another great year ahead for our village! 🌸
