Seeing Kevin The Merry Mill and Aisling Velvet Cloud speak up about the unfairness put on Irish producers who actually care about people’s health made me decide to share this here too. An official complaint was made to the FSAI about us, and we were asked to remove a number of our posts. Two of which included our comparison of Actimel and Yakult to our kefir…. It’s just not right.

I had the privilege of joining another incredible panel on “Food as Medicine” at the Waterford Festival of Food, alongside the inspiring Jacinta Dalton and the brilliant Heather McGuire, with the wonderful Fallon Moore guiding the conversation. Honestly, we could have talked for another hour!

I’m always so grateful to be part of these discussions- it gives me the chance to share my own journey with IBS and how kefir has completely transformed my digestive health.

What made this panel especially powerful was hearing Jacinta’s story. With Heather’s guidance, she made significant changes to her diet alongside her cancer treatment, leading to a truly positive outcome. It’s a real testament to how impactful food can be in its own right, and when used in conjunction with medicine.

A key message we kept coming back to: prevention is better than cure. So many diseases can be influenced- or even prevented- by the choices we make around food every day.

Did you know St. Brigid was Ireland’s original Mistress of Fermentation? 🥛🇮🇪✨

It’s no coincidence that St. Brigid’s Day and World Ferment Day fall on February 1st. In Irish history, Brigid was the patron of the dairy and the brew-house—famous for her “miracle ale” and endless supply of butter. 🧈🍺

What better way to celebrate our “Patron Saint of Dairy” than with the Champagne of Dairy? 🥂

Our Kerry Kefir grains are working overtime today to keep that tradition alive.

As for the quality? I’d give it an A+ but like the sound says... we can go higher than that!📈👑
