Took the dog for a quick walk during the World Cup final, just for the bit in between the start and the end, and got thinking...
About the knock-on effect of good vibes. Of people supporting each other. Seeing each other doing good stuff. Pushing boundaries and showing how you can do things better.
What am I on about?
I just feel there's a bit of a groundswell of support for Irish food producers lately. There's Sophie Morris, Kenneth Keaveney, Mick Kelly and more, all talking about real food, highlighting the challenges, educating us all. There are Irish producers like An GarraΓ Glas getting on with the challenge of producing good food. And there are Irish businesses adding value to that Irish produce by stocking, promoting & using it. Dough Bros did that beautifully this week when they brought out a pizza special using Green Earth Organics' courgettes.
This is why I opened Coyles. To sustain myself and my family, while contributing to the community around us. To prove a commercial business can do both, and be successful. How? By supporting each other.
If you didn't shop with us we wouldn't be here, and we wouldn't be able to support all the brilliant Irish producers we stock.
So. Maybe the Connemara sun's gone to my head. But I'm feelin' it. The support, the positivity, the momentum. Keep it up guys, it's so, so important

Now, back to the football...
