Well night one of our Triolgy complete and it certainly wets the appetite for nights two and three.
An amazing lineup of past whiskies brought us all back in time lead by Historian, Innovation & Maturation Specialist Eric Ryan of Midleton Distillery.

Eric with his knowledge and passion took us on a historic trip with a spectacular flight allowing us all to taste some never to be seen again whiskies.

Special mention to Jonathan and the staff of The Last Drop Cobh who were superb and added greatly to the event.

Thank you to all who attended for your support and we can't wait for everyone to experience the next events over the following months.

We were also delighted to showcase an 1896 Queenstown whiskey presented by Eric to WWS last year which was such a magnificent gesture considering the amazing the work he had done on sourcing the bottle and some history behind it's origin.

A sincere thank you to Kevin O’Gorman, Master Distiller at Midleton Distillery, and his exceptional team for their time and hospitality today at the launch of the Midleton Very Rare 2026 Vintage at the Midleton Distillery in Co. Cork.

We are especially grateful to Midleton for their generous donation of Bottle No.1 of the 2026 vintage — an extraordinary and historic bottle — which will feature as our headline charity lot in the Irish Whiskey Auctions March catalogue.

All proceeds from the sale will go directly to Midleton’s charity partner, FGRT – The Forest Genetic Resources Trust (fgrt.net).

During the visit we filmed a fantastic conversation between Irish Whiskey Auctions CEO Anthony Sheehy and Kevin O’Gorman, offering rare insight into the creation of this prestigious blend and the craftsmanship behind this global whiskey project.

This remarkable bottle and presentation piece would sit proudly in any Irish whiskey connoisseur’s collection.
