Time for picking is approaching.and this is a cool little tool. Remember if you have loads of apples and want to be part of our waste reduction juicing initative so you can have bottled juice to keep all winter. They are certified so you can sell or give as gifts, We are also doing large batches of c***r vinegar - then email us at [email protected] and we will connect with you.

🎩🧚 What a Wonderful Mad Hatters & Fairies Picnic! 🍏🌳

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us last Sunday for our Mad Hatters & Fairies Picnic. What a fantastic afternoon of fun, creativity, music, and community spirit!

We were treated to some truly amazing hats and costumes, with special appearances from Alice in Wonderland and Mickey Mouse, along with plenty of Mad Hatters, fairies, and other colourful characters. 👒🧚‍♀️🐭

There was delicious food to share and lots of activities for all ages, including:

⭐ Making willow stars
☕ Decorating and personalising keep cups
💌 Creating and decorating cards for residents of a local nursing home
🎨 Face painting
📸 Instant photos
🎵 Live music and singing

We even found time to celebrate a few birthdays... and a few non-birthdays, in true Mad Hatter style! 🎂🎩

Events like these remind us what Future Orchard is all about: bringing people of all ages together, sharing skills and stories, and building a stronger, more connected community.

Thank you to everyone who helped organise, volunteer, perform, dress up,and most importantly, join in the fun.

We can't wait to see you at our next Future Orchard event! 🍏🌳

Future Orchard Cork’s head gardener, Chris Troy, will teach the basics of thinning apples from trees to promote the best fruit crop. The event takes place at Future Orchard Cork, Glanmire, Cork, on June 27 from 12pm-2pm, €10. Enjoy learning about and practising the key skill of apple tree thinning in an informal and welcoming setting. See Eventbrite.
