Inclusion isn’t optional, it’s essential.

Swallowing difficulties are a disability, but they should never mean missing out. With the right know‑how, pancakes can be adapted safely for every level with the same flavour, same joy & the same dignity.

Level 4 to Level 7… everyone gets a seat at the table.

Because here’s the thing…
Dysphagia should never mean fewer choices, fewer comforts, or fewer moments of joy.

Too often, people in our care are restricted far beyond what IDDSI actually requires. Not intentionally, just through habit, fear, or lack of confidence.

But with the right knowledge, the right skills, and a willingness to rethink what’s possible…
✨ More choice becomes possible
✨ More dignity becomes possible
✨ More real food becomes possible

Safety matters.
But so does pleasure, autonomy, and the simple comfort of a familiar favourite.

Determination and dedication has proven that together we achieve more!!!!
Priviledged to have worked with the team in Araglen House Nursing Home and to improve the dining experience for the residents.

Training, implementation and auditing were vital in getting this body of work over the line.

Ensuring that every staff member is trained in the framework helped support the team in the home.

🍋 Lemon
🫚Ginger & Turmeric shots

Peel the lemon, chuck it in the blender along with fresh ginger & turmeric, maple syrup and some water.

Blend on full power.
Strain and drink
Or
Strain and freeze in an ice cube tray to make a hot drink later.

😋😋😋 punch of flavour and will certainly wake you up.
Watch out for yellow fingers after handling fredh turmeric.......🙈🙈🙈
