We’re proud to have achieved 90% Irish iceberg and cos during the season. It’s been brilliant working with McCormack’s Farm to bring Irish-grown produce to our customers.

🍅 4.500 kilos of Irish tomatoes sold this season! 🇮🇪

As the Irish tomato season comes to an end, we’re already looking ahead to next year. At Allfresh, we’re committed to supporting Irish growers, increasing import substitution and creating more opportunities for Irish produce.

But we need your help! By choosing Irish tomatoes and ordering Irish produce next season, you can help us build a stronger market for our local growers.

Working closely with our grower and partner Nasko, we want to plan ahead, increase the visibility of Irish tomatoes and give him the confidence and secure market he needs to invest, grow and develop his business.

🥒 Choose Irish cucumbers.

This year, 55% of the cucumbers we supplied were Irish — and our goal is to bring that to 80% next year.

We’ve been working closely with our partners at Welgro Produce, Shane and Sean, to support Irish growers and promote Irish produce, with Irish cucumbers being a key part of that work.

By choosing Irish, we can work towards import substitution, supporting the Irish food system and reducing the carbon footprint associated with bringing produce from overseas.

So, when you’re ordering your next delivery, order Irish where you can. 🇮🇪
