These are parking spaces in Fermoy that are allocated for people who want to shop and support the businesses on the Main Street.
It allows people to park for 15 minutes without the hassle of getting a parking disc and also the fear of getting a parking fine.
As we all know parking is a major issue in our town and as a result people will not come into our Main Street because our parking laws are not practical for our customers.
If we had these types of parking spaces dotted around our town wouldn't they be a huge benefit and provide a hassle free experience for people who want to just pop into a shop get what they need within the 15 minutes these spaces allow.
Businesses in Youghal have been asking our local representatives for a solution to this problem for a long time now and nothing is being done. So I ask our local councillors and TDs James O'Connor TD Cllr Mary Linehan-Foley - Independent, East Cork . Patrick Mulcahy has this option been explored ?
