We are a family run farm based outside Convoy in Co.Donegal. We started breedin lleyns after deciding we wanted to operate a more low maintenance and low cost system. After researching many breeds we soon found that the Lleyn was an ideal ewe, quiet in nature, prolific, has great maternal instincts, milky, & will not

eat you out of house and home. The Lleyn fitted nicely into our situation as its versatility suits both lowland and upland grazing. We purchased a few springing ewe lambs and were impressed with the results and later purchased more ewes from the some of top flocks in northern ireland at the pedigree show and sale in ballymena. We have improved our bloodlines throughout our the year and now run two closed flocks only buying in breeding rams.

Sheep Ireland 30 day average weights were this morning. This batch of mid March to mid april born lambs are grass fed with an average daily weight gain of 320grams per day. These ewes and lambs were turned out at 2 days old and have never seen meal. Not bad going for a poor spring.
