UPDATE: a message from Felix's family...
🧡🐾 OUR BEAUTIFUL FELIX 🐾🧡
After the most heartbreaking and terrifying days, we finally got our beautiful boy back to his family.
We had prayed for that moment for so long. We just wanted to hold him again, tell him how much we loved him and bring him home.
Sadly, Felix had suffered very serious injuries while he was missing. The vet told us that his injuries were too severe and that the kindest thing we could do was let him go peacefully.
And so, surrounded by the people who loved him most, Felix came home.
We held him close, talked to him, told him how much we loved him and stayed beside him as the pain finally left his body.
He was not alone.
He was not forgotten.
He was home. ❤️
Although our hearts are completely broken, we are grateful beyond words that we got the chance to bring him home and that he was able to leave this world surrounded by love.

There are no words big enough to thank everyone who supported us during this nightmare.
To every single person who shared Felix's photo, searched for him, kept watch, checked gardens and streets, contacted people, followed leads, sent messages, offered advice, prayed for him or simply hoped alongside us — thank you.
To the people who didn't even know Felix but cared enough to look for him as though he was their own — we will never forget you.
To everyone who told us not to give up, who encouraged us when we were losing hope, and who continued sharing his story — your kindness carried us through some incredibly dark days.
And to everyone who helped us get Felix back to his family — thank you.
Because of all of you, Felix came home.
He got to see his family again.
He got to hear our voices.
He got to feel our love.
And he was held as he peacefully slipped away.
That means more to us than we can ever explain.
