Moneymore v Aston Celtic

Moneymore FC U11s were delighted to welcome Aston Celtic to our pitch for a Bank Holiday Sunday friendly, and the two sides served up an entertaining contest from start to finish.

In an excellent game played in great spirit, both teams showcased impressive football skills, teamwork, and determination, providing plenty of excitement for everyone in attendance. Most importantly, the players demonstrated outstanding sportsmanship throughout, reflecting the very best values of grassroots football.

Well done to all the players on a fantastic display, and we wish Aston Celtic every success for the season ahead ⚽

Moneymore 4 - 1 Albion Rovers

Moneymore produced a strong performance against Albion Rovers this morning, running out deserved 4-1 winners after an impressive display.

It was Moneymore who started on the front foot and their early pressure paid off midway through the first half when Mohammad opened the scoring with a well-taken finish. The hosts continued to dominate and, ten minutes later, Shayden doubled the advantage. The forward wasn't finished there, adding his second goal of the game just a few minutes later to give Moneymore a commanding 3-0 lead at the break.

The second half was a more evenly contested affair, with both sides creating several opportunities. Albion Rovers managed to pull a goal back fifteen minutes into the half, but Moneymore responded in excellent fashion just five minutes later when Israel restored the three-goal cushion.

Moneymore saw out the remainder of the match comfortably to secure an impressive 4-1 victory and another strong team performance.
