Teegan's Treats

Teegan's Treats Producer of quality jams and preserves, and the occasional baked goods, from our kitchen in the foothills of the Dublin mountains. So, watch this space!!

Using Traditional methods and recipes, to produce delicious, home-made products. No additives or artificial preservatives. John & Laura Teegan from Firhouse, Dublin, created the Teegan's Treats brand in 2014, making and selling their home-made preserves at a local Christmas craft market. The products proved so popular, that they became an annual feature at this local market, and expanded to cover

other Christmas markets in the Dublin area. In January, 2021, Laura decided to extend the sales from just the Christmas period, making Teegan's Treats available year round. Our initial product range will be small until we get more established, but we will be making a limited line of seasonal products throughout the year, as well as the occasional 'Cooks Choice' products.

Well, we are definitely in our final weeks of trading at The Speaker Conolly. The film crew are working on the pub to use it for the next series of Kin, and we are all just waiting. Taking each week at a time until we get the heave ho.

This is where it started for me, back in 2021, when I asked the guys in if I could sell from my car beside Mac's Fish on Wednesday mornings. It was a big chance to take, but I figured that if I got my name out to the locals, I might make a go of this little business full time.

It has also been the venue for the gorgeous local market with Firhouse Community Crafts and I am hugely grateful to the O'Briens for the opportunity to work here. Not to mention the great gathering point that they created when they set up their own stall during the Covid lockdown. Its been a fantastic addition to the Firhouse community that will be hugely missed.

Roll on 5 years to 2026, and Teegans Treats is well established on the Firhouse map, as is Tina with her fabulous fish. We are closing a chapter in all our stories, but we are definitely not gone. Just moving.

We may still be here next week. We may not. Keep an eye on my page.

I'll keep ye posted on where we will go next, but hopefully, it won't be far.

Ciao for now.

Its been a while since I told people where I would be. Its been a busy time, what with my boy getting married, having my family home, and so on. But I'll get back onto it.

So here goes for July.

This coming weekend sees me in Firhouse on Saturday, with Firhouse Community Crafts , our monthly local market, with my local craft network pals. Always a good day. It runs from 10am to 3pm in the car park of The Speaker Conolly. And I can sneak a sunshine pint in after 😉

On Sunday, I cross the county bounds, and head to Celbridge with purple llama . Another lovely market, with great crafts, and great people. I'll be there from 11am to 4pm.

The following Sunday, I stay local with the Bohernabreena Classic Car Show, just up the road. Bohernabreena Classic Car Show runs from 11am to 4pm, and has become a much anticipated feature in the local calendar. It will be a jam packed day.

I round off the month with Namaste Happy Pop Ups in the Marine Hotel, Sutton, defecting to DNS for the day 😉. Its my first time there, but if you live over that way, pop over and say hi. My pal Jackie Jackson Jewellery by Jackie will also be there.

August will be quieter, as I am actually taking holidays (whaaaat??)!! But I'll pop up the few spots I'll be in before then.

Catch me somewhere, if you can, but, as akways, you can DM or email to order, and I'll get it to you.

Running on Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th July, this promises to be a great day, and I can't wait for it!

If you are out that neck of the woods, do come and see me.

I'll be up at The Park Community Centre on Sunday, for the first Firhouse market of the year.

We will be indoors, while we try to get a new outdoor venue to replace our Speaker spot.

I am really looking forward to seeing all of my regulars, and neighbours, again. It's what I love best about this gorgeous community market. It brings us all together 🥰

The market will run from 11am to 4pm, and we will be entertained by the brilliant Firhouse Ukulele Band!

Pop up if you can. I'd love to see you!

I am really delighted to have been nominated for an award in this years Local Enterprise Awards.

I'm up in the Entrepreneurial Spirit category, along with several other amazing local businesses. My local pals .ie and .mare also up for awards.

It is really an achievement for my small business to be nominated among such great businesses.

Unfortunately, I cant make the awards ceremony, because I will be on granny duty. This is always a great night, and it always amazes me how many fantastic small and medium sized businesses we have in South Dublin.

I wish everyone who is nominated the very best of luck tomorrow evening. You are all winners.

I heard it said once, that you won't find any food in the Teegan's cupboards, only condiments.

At the time, I was a bit taken aback, but do you know what? I'm actually OK with that.

It means we make from scratch, and don't use UPF's.
Which we (mostly) don't.

It also means that of you're invited for grub, you will get great tasting food, with natural spices and ingredients.

How we cook for ourselves is reflected in how i cook for my customers.

Honest products, made from scratch, with nothing artificial.

So, Valentine's Day is coming up, and I see lots of small businesses pushing gifts.

To be honest, I find it hard to see jam as a Valentine's present, so I don't try too hard.

But if you did think your loved one would like something other than flowers and chocs, I do have these cute trio towers.

Available in either jams or chutneys, at just €10, it's a sweet treat that won't break the Bank.

DM or email me for details.
