Fingal Nurturing Communities Through Nature | From Bloom To Brackenstown
During my visit to this Gold Medal winning garden, I had the opportunity to speak with Gemma Carr, Parks and Landscape Officer with Fingal County Council.
What struck me most was learning that this project is about far more than a few days at Bloom.
At its heart, the garden celebrates community gardening and the role it can play in bringing people together through shared spaces, growing food, learning new skills, and building stronger local connections.
Once Bloom 2026 comes to a close, the garden will be carefully relocated to the historic walled garden at Brackenstown in Swords as part of Fingal County Council's restoration project.
It's fantastic to see a show garden continue its journey and create a lasting legacy within the community.
I hope to visit Brackenstown once the garden is established and see the next chapter of the project for myself. If I do, I'll be sure to share the progress and the story with my community across social media.
