We are delighted to add two new wines to our portfolio - a Macabeo and Monastrell from Parajes del Valle, both certified organic.

Parajes del Valle is a dynamic winery led by winemaker María Jover. At just 28, she brings a fresh, modern approach to Jumilla’s winemaking traditions.

The winery works with certified organic grapes from old vines, spread across four plots: Fuente de las Perdices, La Cañada de Albatana, and Término de Arriba in northern Jumilla.

These vineyards are maintained under the traditional terraje system, where growers rent the land and return 7% of the harvest in exchange for tending the vines.

Fantastic recognition for Simon Tyrrell and Charles Derain in a recent Financial Times article by Jancis Robinson, highlighting the exciting wines emerging from the cooler north-west corner of the southern Rhône.

Alongside his work with Tindal Wine in Ireland, Simon co-founded Les Deux Cols and Atelier des Sources, a micro-négociant project, two labels that showcase organic viticulture, old vines and a beautifully fresh expression of Rhône terroir.

We are delighted for both Simon and Charles on this well-deserved recognition from one of the wine world’s most respected voices.

Tomorrow William is attempting to swim across Galway Bay - a 13km swim (in his togs) amongst jellies and other creatures of the deep.

Here he is standing on the Co. Clare coast start line pointing at the finish line in Salthill Co. Galway.

This swim is in aid of Cancer Care West

William thinks it’ll be at least 4 hours in the water. His longest sea swim to date is just over 2 hours. We’re wishing William luck and calm seas.

We’re delighted to welcome Juan Muñoz-Oca and Leonardo Casini from who are visiting Ireland for the first time as part of their special celebratory year commemorating their Cabernet Sauvignon taking first place at the Judgement of Paris in 1976. This now iconic award was for the best red wine at the event, beating many celebrated fine wines from both the US and Bordeaux.

Juan is the Estate Director & Chief Operating Officer overseeing all Antinori-owned properties in the United States, while Leonardo is responsible for international market development and the commercial management of their premium wines.

While not in Ireland yet, their visit happens to coincide with the release of a Special Vintage, the S.L.V 2023, which will mark this historic milestone.

Their visit will include tastings and wine dinners as they tell the story of Stag’s Leap while experiencing our fantastic Irish hospitality. 🍇🍷
