Just a little appreciation post for … No plastic, metal or fossil fuel

These grills have been in stock in the shop for a while now. Claire sourced them, and with Ireland being one of the cloudiest countries on Earth, these grills were certainly a passion project. 😅 But we vouch for, and personally use them on every opportunity we can.

Though we don’t see as many sunny days as other countries, we have tried and tested these grills on the days that we can - they are mostly biodegradable, save for the lava stones (which make for great soil improvement and are 100% pure for cultivation of plants) They’re lightweight, and burn evenly for at least an hour.

For reference, see them being enjoyed on wine dates, a breakfast of award winning sausages from Clive’s butchers and beans, and under the view of Croagh Patrick

Always make sure to be sound, leave no trace and dispose of any personal waste responsibly, and make sure the use of barbecues is permitted where you are!

Still in stock and available to purchase in the shop, or for click and collect online: https://www.lennoxstreet.ie/product/casus-grill-bamboo-disposable-bbq-barbecue/826

Still recovering from on Monday (content incoming 😅)

Please accept this very lazy “new bits” compilation!

On the back of the success of the dried sea sprats we’ve added some dried deer cubes and cod skins (and we’d be more than happy to give your dog one to try)

New flavour, always an exciting time and we’re still not over how good the pretzel one is

New variety of the cans in from - this time a relatively low alcohol fizzy white (10.5% meaning it’s perfect for the imminent sunshine)

Knockanore raw milk Irish cheddar from to go with our ABUNDANCE of new crackers

lovely jalapeño salsa which is perfect for al fresco hangouts with its handy packaging

Aaand last but not least we’ve got a new furikake for all your lovely salads from who truly never disappoint!

Rosé All (Sun)Day Tasting

Sunday 23rd May 3pm-5pm Clanbrassil Street with Claire from

It has been a while now so we are delighted to announce a Sunday afternoon rosé tasting to get you ready for the season ahead!

As much as we love a Provence-style rosé, there’s a whole lot more out there and we’re going to taste at least 5 types for comparison, with a few nibbles alongside.

It won’t be too serious, a relaxed tasting. Come along to learn something new or just try a different style of rosé. No wine snobbery just really well-made wines and the opportunity to chat, have fun, and maybe discover a new favourite.

Not too early and not too late, 3pm-5pm, to have a luscious and lazy Sunday afternoon in the beautiful space that is Gaillot et Gray on Clanbrassil Street.

There will be an offer to buy any of the wines tasted on the day with a 10% discount, and if you can’t carry them with you you can collect them from Lennox Street Grocer when suits you.

Tickets will be limited so please book in your spot, link is in our bio.

*Claire has worked as a chef, waitress, food-tour guide & wine sales rep, now runs Lennox Street Grocer and occasionally chefs for events and private clients. So far an entire career devoted to all things food and wine, but in the end enjoys good things in a friendly environment and the power and food & wine bringing people together.
