Over 23 years now I have resided in this beautiful Country Ireland. I went through it all. The bold challenges, the ugly and the victories and only to God I am eternally grateful!! I am humbled.

I made bold to say I paid my dues. By the grace of God I stepped out as a lone parent with very young children, upon receiving my legal status, my freedom to work, I left everything and started working against all the advise even from my Community Welfare Officer.

I worked, children in school, and to better my condition and upgrade my status I went back to school. (College).

I did not just work, I paid my rent, paid my bills, was it easy ? Oh yes no!! But I faced it all without regret today. I am not perfect, but I try my best as much as I can.

During Covid 19, I did my part by supporting our heroes, gave out free meals in James Hospital for weeks.

I played my part in breaking bridges in the food industry in Ireland, bringing Nigerian cusine to the fore front promoting both cultures through food.

I built a Community of customers God bless you all I love you. I with all humility enjoyed the grace and mercy of God so why will YOU do this to me, why will YOU challenge the grace and glory of God in my life?

To you who did this to my struggle let me first tell you what you don’t know? When you were sleeping I was working, when YOU were lazing around I was working so hard, paying my taxes.

I specially address YOU that did this to my Van, my sweat, that those nights of tears and days in the sun struggling for a humble living will ask you, and judge you.

The days I spent putting resources together for this to happen will judge you. Yes let your heart convict you.

To YOU that person who did this let your conscience convict you.
So last night YOU deliberately smashed my windscreen. Punctured my tyres and took away my plate number!! Hmmm!!

This Van is the result of hard work, favour and mercy. I thank you because you have made me stronger !!!

To the good people of ireland, who have supported my journey so far I love you all. I rise above waters, because El-Roi sees me!!!

As a Nigerian the word independence has a deep rooted meaning. Coming from an ancient culture of strict hierarchy, culture and many religious customs. A culture to be proud of and a culture with many contradictions that can make one smile or cry, depending on the day. A culture that respects and values true Independence.

Mama Shee began in 2018 as a market food stall in Dublin… as a step towards independence ☺️, 8 years later we are happy to announce the opening of our new location in Liffey Valley Lucan. Sharing Nigerian cuisine and culture for the last 8 years here in Ireland has been a dream come true, many ups and downs but like our young Nation Nigeria 🇳🇬 (celebrating 66years) we are proud for how far we’ve come and excited to reach new heights ♥️.
