CORA, Lucan. Just been to have brunch today based on a positive review by the Sunday Business post. I think the best description of my experience: Underwhelming. A limited menu. Dish names that are trying too hard to be fancy compared to what they actually are. I noticed the lady beside me only ate half her order before putting her knife and fork down, side by side onto the plate. I had two Cappuccinos and a Caesar Benedict dish. €30.40. Expensive for what it was. Two poached eggs, two small bits of chicken, soggy lettuce and small bits of bread with a slice of what I think was a Sardine. Staff are friendly. I ate indoors. Several shrieking children and noise generally made for a not so relaxed experience. As I walked out the door after paying, my thinking was: Well I'm not going back there.
