In our glass, Languedoc 🇫🇷✨

Superb tasting with Anne from where she talked about the heritage of the estate, the winemaking (hello terracota egg vessels!) and the style of the wines.
Members of they are serios about organic and biodynamic farming.

From Grenache Gris to old vine Carignan, we tasted the diversity of the state situated north of Corbierès.

In our glass Sardinia 🇮🇹

This is a Cannonau Riserva 2022 from
The wine is a blend of 90% Cannonau & 10% Tintillu grapes, both hand harvested.
The Cannonau grapes come from the Sedda Sa Figu vineyard which has sandy-loam soil that gives the wine elegance and freshness.
The Anfiteatro vineyard rises in a southward valley that features more clayey soils, and is subject to light winds
With notes of wild berries, chocolate & to***co this wine has been a great companion to a wonderful evening spent with a good friend.

In our glass, Georgia 🇬🇪

Kicking off 2026 with a special bottle
This is Guramishvili's Marani Brut Grande Reserve Limited Edition, only 4,500 bottles produced of this cuvée.

Made from grapes grown in the historic Saguramo vineyards in Georgia, this traditional method wine has a blend of the indigenous Georgian grape varieties: Chinuri and Tsolikauri

So complex, layered, smokey and umami finish... Creamy on the palate. At the beginning notes of dried pech, then the smokiness kicks in, so interesting!

Thanks for the gift and for sharing your discoveries of Georgian wines

In our glass, white Burgundy 🇫🇷✨
It is no secret we are Chardonnay lovers and we had the best time at the last White Burgundy tasting.

Despite having a corked 2014 Chassagne-Montracet & an oxidised 2006 Saint-Aubin 1er Cru, this tasting has been one of our favourites of the year.

A highlight was the Meursault 1er Cru Les Poruzots 2000 from Domaine Francois Jobard with savoury notes and oxidative notes (but not oxidised); walnut, foie gras, mushroom.

The Puligny-Montrachet Enseignères 2015 by is a single vineyard wine; rumour has it is worth Grand Cru status. This wine is drinking well now, with notes of apple & a bit buttery & steely with good minerality it was a delight.

So many highlights on this tasting, we'll write an article about this!

A lot has been said about the longevity of these wines over the last few decades due to cork issues. Some say young Burgundy is as enjoyable as an aged one. What do you think? 🤔

Full lineup at the end of the post.

In our glass, Riesling 🇩🇪✨

Named the world's first Riesling winery, Schloss Johannisberg has cultivated exclusively Riesling since 1720.

The Trocken Gelblack 2024 is a Single vineyard wine made from hand harvested Riesling grapes and fermented 80% in stainless steel and 20% in 1,200L wooden cask made from wood from their own “Schloss Johannisberg” oaks, how cool is that? 😎

We had it with grilled sea bream and it was the highlight of our weekend.
Our glass of choice was the Riedel Performance - Riesling ✨
