Bonjour.... So our final day in Antibes yesterday started with a visit to Les Filles du Micocoulier - Antibes for breakfast 👍 coffee, juice and a French and English breakfast, a wonderful way to start the day 😉

After a visit to the Picasso museum (next door to us) we dropped into Café Brun Antibes for an afternoon drink . Now after taking a look at the menu I went for an 8.4% Belgium beer 🍺 😯 it was most delightful (even after 3 of them 🤣)

Back home for our afternoon nap and then it was back out to a place we had past several times but couldn't get in ! Thankfully they had a table so, in we went to chezjulesantibes

The menu was excellent with a wonderful selection of dishes, I had a starter of Farcis Nico is Masion (stuffed vegetables with veal) followed by Tataki De Boeuf & Légumes Du Jardin, which was a triumph 👊 Vic had the Rigatoni Pomodora... I finished the evening with a Baba Au Rhum, a spectacular way to finish the meal. Obviously this was all washed down with a couple of glasses of rosé 🍷 👍👍

...so, yesterday we ventured into Cannes on the train 🚆 for a walk about 👍

First stop was for a look around and to see what was in offer 🫴 Now I did get sucked into a ladies sales pitch and bought 400gsm of nougat 🤦 but that blow was softened when I got myself a 'Canard, Porc & Foie Gras' pastry OMG it was bloody lush 😍

After some sightseeing we dropped into for our lunch and a well earned glass of rosé 🍷 I went for the Veal Chop and Vic had the beef tartare, both excellent dishes and well received by both of us 👍

After a short train 🚆 ride home and a siesta on our return we wandered of into town so soak up the sights and sounds of and we stumbled upon a lovey French bistro in one of the side streets... More Rosé 🍷 was ordered along with sardines for me and squid 🦑 for Vic 👌

For our second day in we popped downstairs to the local market to purchase some breakfast items 👍 we had some wonderful cheeses 🧀 fresh bread 🍞, salami sausage, fresh fruit & yogurt!

We then sat on our balcony to enjoy the sights and sounds of Antibes 😉

We did have lunch but sadly the quiche and cake 🍰 were so good didn't get the chance for a pic 🤣

After a wander around and an afternoon nap, we ventured back out and straight to the 🍸 an interesting experience!

Our final stop of the day was .restaurant.antibes
I ordered a 'Young Lady of The Sea' a mixture of mussels, scallops, octopus, prawns in a seafood bisque!!! It was lush.😋
victoria had the most amazing octopus 🐙 eggplant and tomato linguine, which looked and tasted fabulous 👍

This was all washed down with a nice Rosé 🍷

Off to Cannes today so let's see what delights we can find there...

Quick little interludes yesterday

First the most delicious ice-cream Gelateria Del Porto - Glaces artisanales fabriquées sur place for a rum & raisin and Caramel ice-cream and then over to BEERSHOP06 for an IPA brewed here in Antibes 👊 very nice indeed

A fabulous first day in Antibes - South of France after a short flight, train ride and Uber we arrived at our wonderful Air BnB 👍

After a brief stroll around to get our bearings we stopped off at Nacional Trattoria Antibes for lunch and a wonderful dining experience It was! Veal roast, tuna mayo and anchovies for me and fried squid for .victoria 👊.

The evening soon came around and we went to the most fabulous fish restaurant La Pescheria 🐠
We had a tray of oysters, prawns and whelks, also a plate of yellow tail carppcio and sea urchin spread, it was a spectacular array of local seafood 👌 all washed down with a beautiful Chardonnay 😉

Day two beckons, and more culinary delights... Stay tuned to see what this fantastic place has to offer.

Tsillivi part 1 - well this was a slightly different Tasting Tour to normal as we were in Greece for & Lucy Meade wedding!

Obviously this didn't stop us going out to experience what was on offer and there was plenty to choose from!

From the airport to the last day there wasn't anything we didn't enjoy 👍 from cocktails to Mythos and the odd sambuca 😉

Tsillivi has lots to offer and well worth a visit👍

So today the tour took the short trip to Clevedon RFC to enjoy the 'Fathers Day Feast Fiesta '

We were treated to paella, tapas and sangria expertly prepared, cooked and served by Emma Purnell Harding Rachel Bassett Was Purnell Rachael Brooks

The food was exceptional, proving that Clevedon RFC has some, if not the best food in the South West 👊

Keep your eye out for future events and special lunches, you will not be disappointed 👍

So tonight we popped up to
This was a late call by us but they managed to fit us in....

As always we were greeted by Chloe and her team with a friendly smile 😊

The food was fantastic, the drinks excellent and service top drawer 👊

Now as some of you know I do enjoy a cheese board (& port) and do a spectacular one 👍 it ranks very highly in the cheese board rankings ... (Possibly the best due to the cheese to biscuit ratio 😉)

Who doesn't love some Coq on a sunny Bank Holiday Monday 😉

What a great place, thoroughly enjoyed our trip to in Whiteladies Road 👊

Fantastic food, fabulous drinks, cracking atmosphere and great staff👍

The pics tell their own story, but don't take my word for it, give it a go, you won't be disappointed 😉

Remember it's always good to talk to the staff and find out what they're all about and interact with them... As it's not just the food that makes an establishment what it is 👊
