The Ecosoft Cross Max reverse osmosis system. It goes under your kitchen sink and feeds its own separate drinking tap - membrane element and activated carbon stage, all of it hidden behind the cupboard door.
It's tankless, which is what makes it different from the reverse osmosis systems people remember. No storage tank taking up the whole cupboard, no waiting on a trickle. It filters on demand, so a glass takes about six seconds.
It also has a leak sensor built in and flushes itself so nothing sits stale. Two cartridges a year, swapped by hand in under five minutes.
What it actually replaces is the routine. The bag of empties nobody has brought to the machine yet, with 15c and 25c sitting in every one of them.
