Well… look what washed up in the Netherlands! 🇳🇱⚓️💙
One of our followers, Arie, sent us this brilliant photo from the island of Texel in the Netherlands.
Sitting proudly among the flowers is a fish box bearing the name MFV Muriel Grace – Michael Doran – Howth.
We’ve absolutely no idea what journey that box took from Howth to Texel, or how long it spent travelling before washing ashore — but we love that it’s been rescued, given a new life and is now looking rather fabulous as a flower box. 🌸🌊
From the fishing pier in Howth to a garden on a Dutch island… that’s some voyage for an old fish box.
Thanks so much to Arie Kikkert for sending this to us. These are the little stories that make our day.
Has anyone else ever spotted a little piece of Howth somewhere completely unexpected? We’d love to see it.
