Thomas’s of Foxrock has been the beating heart of Foxrock village for more than four decades, offering top-quality food products, fresh fruit and vegetables, fine wines, and its trademark hampers. Paul Howard (Ross O’Carroll-Kelly) once described it as “the pantry in Buckingham Palace.”
Famed for both Irish and international fare, Thomas’s is committed to sourcing only the highest-quality goods. Fresh fruit and veg are bought daily in Dublin, and the shop places a strong emphasis on supporting local producers, with Irish products well represented on the shelves. Its imported international items add that “something extra special” you won’t find anywhere else.
The shop’s charm lies as much in its personality as its products. Thomas himself, passionate and welcoming, creates an atmosphere customers love. His dedication to service has made both him and his shop integral parts of the community. “There was great support from day one from the locals, and it’s still there to this day.”
Over the years, Thomas’s has even attracted a star-studded clientele, including Elvis, Glen Hansard, and Joe Dolan—who quickly became a close friend of Thomas and a familiar face in the shop. It’s a place brimming with local history and pride – a true gem.
