🚨🚨Save Our Supplements🚨🚨

Nutrients levels in supplements are about to be slashed

They’re about to BAN safe herbs like Ashwagandha, Curcumin (turmeric), Rhodiola, Holy Basil along with specialty supplements like NAC…that have been consumed for decades/centuries/millennia, because they say they don’t have enough safety data. But the pharmaceutical drugs and the scandalous side effects just keep on coming… It’s DAFT.

And we can STOP this. But we have to tell our TD’s, our MEP’s, the FSAI, that we want them to keep their hands off our high potency safe supplements…sign the public petition at the link in bio

I feel 🤢…

And don’t even get me started on the CAFFEINE 😵‍💫🤌🏻

Ultra processed, high volume for the taste buds and not a wholefood in sight….these drinks are setting your teenagers up for a life on the rollercoaster of industrialised addictive foods.

Delicious alternatives do exist- check out brands like like Finn’s sipping whilst watching.

I keep seeing and getting sent more and more content from supposedly trustworthy big influencers (research science white coats included) going wild about 👇🏻

…only touching your receipts with gloves

…throwing out your scarred frying pans

…stopping poisoning your testicles wearing your plastic shorts into the sauna (that one might be a bit more serious actually but you get the point) etc

So come on now be honest…is it not mayyybe the routine indulgence in alcohol, sugar, caffeine, couch sitting that are causing your short and long term health problems?

Do you need to be scared of the plastic in your life? NOOOO…clear out the other stuff you KNOW is doing you harm. Stop va**ng. Binge drinking. Eating takeaways. Jellies and icecream…get up off the couch and get moving, and also stop your wild anxiety with a decent downtime routine (breathe, walk, meditate whatever it takes) then come back to me and we can start to trim out the pesky plastic from your world.

Cos it’s not good for you. But I PROMISE you it’s not even in the top 10 of things that will make you sick and/or kill you.

Launching our Health Stores Ireland ask the expert campaign in Shannon last week!!

Health Stores Ireland has announced the launch of a new marketing campaign with a focus on gut health.

The sectoral marketing campaign was unveiled at the organisation’s annual conference and awards, held in Shannon Co. Clare on January 25. The campaign, which aims to reinforce independent health food stores as Ireland’s trusted authorities on digestive wellness, was initiated after a wide-ranging poll of regular health food store shoppers highlighted that gut and digestive health was the leading health issue driving customers to shops. The same poll highlighted that consumer have a high level of trust in the advice offered in health food stores over a wide range of health issues.

At the event, attended by more than 60 retailers and 70 trade representatives, Health Stores Ireland Director and MC, Finn Murray, from The Hopsack, in Dublin, called on suppliers and brand holders to direct their own marketing campaigns to run parallel with the Gut Health Matters initiative.

Health Stores Ireland is collaborating with supplier partners to drive product training and consumer offers toward the theme of gut health. The six-month campaign runs until June, with monthly themed focus areas including probiotics, traditional fibre foods, digestive enzymes, anti-inflammatory foods and the gut-brain connection. Participating stores will receive monthly training webinars, professional marketing materials, and coordinated supplier special offers.

Health Stores Ireland President, Erica Murray, emphasised the sector’s unique position, commenting: “There is a century of tradition, from the early days of fibre foods right up to cutting-edge gut-brain science and medicinal mushrooms, where modern health stores combine expertise and innovation for optimal consumer health.”

The tradition likely dates back over 2,000 years to Celtic midwinter customs:
The wren was sacred in Celtic belief
Called “Rí na nÉan” — King of the Birds
Associated with:
The sun
cycles of death and rebirth
The old year dying so the new year could begin
At midwinter (around the solstice), rituals symbolically marked:
The end of the old year
The renewal of life and light
The “hunting” of the wren likely symbolised:
the sacrifice of the old year / old king

There’s an ancient Celtic myth where:
Birds competed to see who could fly highest
The wren hid on the eagle’s back and flew higher at the last moment
Thus became King of the Birds
Its cleverness made it powerful — and dangerous — in folklore.

When Christianity spread, the Church reframed the ritual rather than banning it.

Several legends developed:
The wren betrayed St Stephen by fluttering and revealing his hiding place
Or betrayed Irish soldiers by tapping on shields
So the wren became a traitor
Something to be punished on St Stephen’s Day

Revival of the true tradition of the wren forms a significant part of reclaiming our Irish sovereignty
