Deli Staff and Shop Floor Assistant
Location: Kenna’s Daybreak Durrow, Co.Laois.
Job Type: Full Time/ Part-Time
Hours: Flexible
We are looking for reliable, friendly and hard working staff to join our team.
THE ROLE
•Assist with day-to-day running of the kitchen and deli.
• Ensuring customers receive high- quality food and excellent service.
• Ensuring the shop is well presented, fully stocked and that customers receive excellent service.
MAIN DUTIES
• Preparing and serving hot and cold food.
• Preparing sandwiches, salads and deli products.
• Operating deli counter and tills.
• Following food safety and HACCP procedures.
• Greeting and assisting customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Replenishing stock and keeping shelves fully stocked.
• Checking product dates and rotating stock.
• Matching prices to labels.
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
• Working as part of a team to ensure the smooth running of the shop.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
• Previous kitchen, deli or food service experience is an advantage.
• Food safety/ HACCP knowledge is desirable.
• Previous retail experience is an advantage.
• Excellent customer service and good communication skills.
• Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work weekdays, weekends and evenings as required.
