Just here chomping on some quick flour and yoghurt buns made in the airfryer. I was just wanting some regular bread buns for my Ginger and rhubarb jam. I don’t think my jalapeño and cheese sourdough was going to go with the rhubarb jam. Well impressed. Now I used milk kefir, and bread soda, for the buns and a great if you need something in under 20mins. Perfect for the morning ☕️

This was an interesting find this weekend. Ginger mint, got to love it. Also called Vietnamese mint and very similar in smell to spearmint. It grows into quite a bush, 1.5 feet tall and 2 feet wide. It also acts as a great insect repellent to cabbage or tomatoes.
The leaves help combat headaches and digestive issues. I also like the use of adding to butter, lemonade and hot chocolate. That’ll go perfect with some grated ginger. Can’t wait for it to grow up and out.
I got it at the Fota Plant Fair last Sunday.

Looking forward to this event. I have attended as a visitor as I am interested in the Slow Food movement, when living in Mayo. Fabulous day and great talks at the Pavilion. See you there.

Now this is something nostalgic. I make little packets of mix spices from my spice mix that I use for my Spiced Ginger syrup. I grind the spices into a powder and have been making cinnamon toast lately. Brings me back to my granny’s table.
Butter then sprinkle the spice mix over that and then a sprinkling of sugar. Place under the grill or in airfryer. Lovely with some yoghurt and lemon zest or just an afternoon treat.

Inflammation is a big buzz word now as people try to reduce it as it can cause alot of ailments. Though it isn’t always bad as inflammation aids recovery and repair as well.
See what foods to take that can ease your body’s inflammation. Ginger is on the top of my list 🫶🫚
