Job done ✅ Ciaran ✊ Fabulous 🫣 day to be out scallop fishing in Clew Bay… with many small island and wee shelter spots allowing a safe day fishing inshore despite weather.

You will enjoy those for the rest of the week.

🦪🦪🦪 ROCKS that ROLL… Garry’s Galway Bay oysters

The best thing about our first proper winter 💨 storm? A little rolling and rocking on Garry’s flip-farm oyster lines.

🦪 Smoother, cleaner shells that are easy to shuck
🦪 No sharp edges, making them safer for your hands
🦪 A big, sweet, meaty abductor muscle—the “scallop” of the oyster
🦪 🇮🇪 Oysters like these are normally all exported

OYSTER DEAL OF THE WEEK: only €15 per dozen

Your chance to discover what a proper premium oyster is supposed to be… 😮‍💨🤷‍♂️

NEW BAGS… 🥳 They’ve landed! in very limited numbers — Come to grab one for FREE tomorrow… as a little reward for our brave & willing “all weather” customers… You will be carrying yours with pride for months to come… and make everyone else jealous.

It’s looking like a wet and windy one, so we will likely grab a bit of shelter by the window… but we’ll be there with a delightful selection of weekend fish and seafood.

What about you? Are we seeing you in town tomorrow? 🌧️🐟

Cripples : ONE-CLAW LOBSTERS 🦞 €10 OFF!

While stock lasts, just €26.50/kg.

PJ, our fisherman, landed a box of one-claw lobsters. They can lose an arm fighting or injure themselves in the pots.

They look like lobster, taste like lobster—and come at a smaller price. Perfect for lobster rolls or a seafood boil feast this long weekend 🤤

WTF…. 😱 Chicken in YOUR supermarket Norwegian Salmon…TOP NEWS… 🤣 GO ON that just made my Monday🙏 ….

Please…. Ask again WHY ? do we make the costly decision to go with NO salmon on our fish counters when Irish fish supply is not available !!!

Cheap & “PREMIUM” Norwegian farmed Salmon is only ever one phone call away … any amount of it… we just won’t sell it…. because we know… cheap at all cost… has a cost… won’t kill you & safe to eat… but who want chicken & other stuff in their salmon…

Oopsie Tunny! 🎣

Another BLUEFIN TUNA through the door: 308 kg (about 700 lb) of accidental bycatch — twice the size of our last one!

Saint Peter 🙏 is showing us mercy 😉 There’ll be plenty of tuna to go around this week.

Small fish 🐟… BIG fish 🐋… Can you guess the weight ?

While you are all still asleep, it’s Saturday morning… 2026 Tuna No. 10 has checked in at Gannet HQ

A big, big fat lad straight in from the South Coast. The tail sample is a lovely pink flesh, with a sweet flavour. This is a great fish: solid, firm and fatty… but this we knew just looking out at that big round belly…,

Why does it look so pale? It was caught as bycatch alongside boarfish — those little red fellas with skin like sandpaper. Rubbing against them in the net has left the tuna looking unusually white.

It’s extra fresh. We’ll bring a few handy pieces to Galway Market today, and you can order the rest on EatMoreFish.ie we are going to eat a lot of Irish Tuna again
