Please…. Ask again WHY ? do we make the costly decision to go with NO salmon on our fish counters when Irish fish supply is not available !!!

Cheap & “PREMIUM” Norwegian farmed Salmon is only ever one phone call away … any amount of it… we just won’t sell it…. because we know… cheap at all cost… has a cost… won’t kill you & safe to eat… but who want chicken & other stuff in their salmon…

Oopsie Tunny! 🎣

Another BLUEFIN TUNA through the door: 308 kg (about 700 lb) of accidental bycatch — twice the size of our last one!

Saint Peter 🙏 is showing us mercy 😉 There’ll be plenty of tuna to go around this week.

Small fish 🐟… BIG fish 🐋… Can you guess the weight ?

While you are all still asleep, it’s Saturday morning… 2026 Tuna No. 10 has checked in at Gannet HQ

A big, big fat lad straight in from the South Coast. The tail sample is a lovely pink flesh, with a sweet flavour. This is a great fish: solid, firm and fatty… but this we knew just looking out at that big round belly…,

Why does it look so pale? It was caught as bycatch alongside boarfish — those little red fellas with skin like sandpaper. Rubbing against them in the net has left the tuna looking unusually white.

It’s extra fresh. We’ll bring a few handy pieces to Galway Market today, and you can order the rest on EatMoreFish.ie we are going to eat a lot of Irish Tuna again
