🌱 Farm Tour & Lunch at Abercorn Farm 🌱

Join us on Sunday 6th September for a guided farm tour followed by a long table lunch, right here at Belmont Demesne, Greystones.

🥕 11am — The Farm Walk
Walk our 2-acre regenerative market garden, from the propagation tunnel (50+ veg varieties started from seed!) through the outdoor beds and polytunnels, including our unique cherry tomato varieties. We’ll talk seeding schedules, bed building, soil health, and season extension — a real, honest look at intensive regenerative growing in the Irish climate.

🍽️ 12.45pm — Lunch in the Field
Long table lunch in our event tent with chef Pam Chalecka (sis), fresh off a summer of seasonal pop-ups. Expect a set menu built entirely around what’s in season.

We’ve taken a break from farm tours for the last 6 weeks, but we’re delighted to announce that our next two farm tours of the season are taking place on Saturday 22nd August and Saturday 29th August.

You can also choose to add a €25 veg box to to take home with you on the day.

If you are a CSA member, no need to book a ticket as you can attend free of charge as part of your CSA membership. Simply send us an email to let us know how many of you would like to attend on the day.

Abercorn Farm is a regenerative two acre market garden in its third year of growing, nestled in the County Wicklow countryside on the grounds of Belmont Demesne.

On this guided tour, you’ll walk the entire growing operation from seed to field — understanding not just what we grow, but exactly how and why we grow it the way we do.

Whether you’re a keen home grower or simply curious about where your food comes from, this tour offers a rare and honest look at regenerative, intensive market gardening in the Irish climate.

What you’ll see on the tour:

Propagation tunnel
Where everything begins. See how we start over 50 varieties of vegetables from seed, manage germination, and care for young transplants.

Seed starting & nursery
Learn our seeding schedule, compost mixes, tray management, and the techniques we use to get a head start on the season.

Outdoor growing beds
Tour our permanent raised beds and open field plots. We’ll walk through bed building, spacing, succession planting, soil health, and w**d management.

Polytunnels
Explore our tunnel production — crops that extend the season, our unique cherry tomato varieties, and what we’re growing year-round.
