⏰ STAGE TIMES ⏰

Please note the stage times for the weekend.

On Friday we will have Whiskey samples and chats with 3 of Irelands leading whiskey producers from 6.30pm and then from 8pm it’s all things History with Professor Terence Dooley.

Then on Saturday, we have Eugene O’Hanlon opening with his mix of folk and blues from 6.15pm. Then we’ll have a chat with our own brewer; Dave Guilfoyle, Mal from Heaney Brewing and Derek from Breifne Gael with their beers being available at the bar. Rarewitch will then bring his unique mix of comedy and music to the stage and we’ll close the night out with the always entertaining Rambling String Band.

🚨 LINE-UP CHANGE! 🚨

A couple of changes to Saturday’s gig mean that our comedian and one of our musical acts are unfortunately no longer able to join us.

But fear not… we’ve pulled something rather special out of the bag! 👀

We’re delighted to announce that Rarewitch will be joining us instead! 🎤🎶😂

Renowned for his animations, Paddy is also a part musical comedian, part comedic musician, and 100% guaranteed to bring something a little different to the night — Rarewitch is stepping in to fill the gap, and we’re absolutely delighted to have them on the bill.

So while the line-up may have changed, the promise of a brilliant night of live music, laughs and good times certainly hasn’t!

The weather hasn’t been great lately so we’re taking extra precautions to ensure the best craic can be had this weekend.

We have Whiskey tastings with some of Irelands leading producers and a chat on all things local history with renowned Irish Historian, Professor Terence Dooley on Friday night. On Saturday we have an evening filled with beer, music and comedy with The Rambling String Band making their eagerly awaited return to our stage.

Just two weeks to go until we kick off The Gathering for 2026 and this year it’s bigger than ever.

On the Friday night we are focusing on all things Whiskey and History. For a mere €10 you will get to hear the stories behind some of Ireland’s finest Whiskey producers, and of course, there will be plenty of samples.

Afterwards, renowned local Historian, Professor Terence Dooley will be with us to share his in depth knowledge of the local history focusing on the “Big Houses” and the revolutionary land reform.

Of course we will have plenty of fresh pints available and will have a new upcoming Pizza food truck on site to keep ye all fed.

Our guest breweries for The Gathering this year will be Heaney Farmhouse Brewery and Breifne Gael Brewing.

Heaney Farmhouse Brewery is a family-run craft brewery based at The Wood in Bellaghy, Co. Derry. Inspired by the farm’s heritage and local surroundings, the brewery produces a range of small-batch craft beers, combining traditional farmhouse character with modern brewing techniques. We share several key values with Heaney Brewery and as well as having links to a famous Irish Poet like ourselves, it was only right to have the guys down.

Bréifne Gael Brewing is an independent craft brewery based in Cavan, producing small-batch beers with a strong local identity. Its range includes Irish stout, lager, red ale and pale ale, with a focus on quality ingredients and distinctive flavours. As Ireland’s newest brewery and as a fellow forgotten county dweller, we’re delighted to hopefully be pouring the first ever keg of one of their beers.

There’s a certain magic that happens when the music starts, the pints are poured, and the stories begin to flow…

This year, The Gathering welcomes back The Rambling String Band, after they stole the show with us last year. Expect a lively mix of trad, folk and the occasional rebel song, all wrapped up in their wonderfully enigmatic stage antics. We’re delighted to have them back — and who knows what tales they’ll bring with them this time?

Making his official Brehon debut is the incredibly talented Ciaran Halton. A gifted musician with a remarkable ability across several instruments, Ciaran brings together a mix of much-loved covers and original songs that are sure to find a home among the pints, chatter and craic of the brewery.
