Fair dues to Danish artist Jens Galschiot for his sculpture called "The Orange Plague" and Danish MEP Per Clausen for his support.
Jens said he depicted Donald Trump as an ‘orange plague’ "because he is destroying everything I believe in. I believe in democracy and the rule of law. All this needs to be cared for, and Trump is destroying it, as well as the debate on the environment,”
He chose to portray the US president as a grotesque figure hoping that people would laugh at it. “When you laugh at a dictator, you take away his power,” he said. "I am sitting on the back of a man,” reads the text on the 8.5-foot-tall statue’s plinth. “He is sinking under my burden. I will do anything to help him. Except step down from his back.” sad times we live in....
