All Ireland 2026! 🀩
It was such a roasting day I didn't take any photos myself so I had to wait for the official ones which were so beautifully taken by Lucy fletcher and Sean McCarthy. Thank you so much, it's fantastic to have such excellent photography of the day!

Cottage Nifty - 1ST in 4-6 month ewe lamb.
Cottage Novelty- 3RD in 4-6 month ewe lamb.

Cottage Name Tag - 1ST in 7-12 month ewe lamb.
Cottage Notions - 2ND in 7-12 month ewe lamb.

Bopeep Leading Lady- 2ND in Senior ewe.

Cavanalee King Kanute - 1ST in Senior Ram.

Cottage Name Tag- Reserve Female Champion.

Our Cottage flock having taken home Overall Supreme Champion AND Overall Reserve Champion in 2024 and Overall Supreme Champion again in 2025, this year it was the turn of BoPeep Valais Blacknose to take home the Overall Champion Bell and the Reserve went to Ballylusk Valais Blacknose.

The Sashes & Swiss bells are all boxed up and ready to go for the biggest day in the Irish Valais Blacknose Sheep calendar πŸ†

The All Ireland Championships take place tomorrow at Mullingar Agricultural Show where members from all corners of the country will congregate to compete and celebrate the Valais Blacknose breed for the 4th annual eventπŸ‘

Sheep are requested to be penned by 10am and judging of classes will begin at the earlier time of 10.30am due to the heat ⏰

We wish everyone the very best of luck, safe travels & don’t forget the suncream β˜€οΈ

What a weekend and start to our 2026 Show season! To say I'm proud of my little flock is an understatement! We took 2 ewe lambs, a senior ram and a senior ewe to Gorey Agricultural Show on Saturday. A brilliantly ran show with a huge turnout of sheep.
3 x 1st places a 3rd place and our lamb, Cottage Nifty stood Overall Champion!!

Today we travelled to Athlone Agri Show.. a really fun day with lots of craic and laughs but what a result for our little flock!!!....
2 ewe lambs, 1st and 2nd place
Senior ram, 1st place
Senior ewe 1st place
Then our Ram Cavanalee King Kanute stood Overall Champion aaaand...
My bottle baby ewe lamb Cottage Notions stood Reserve Champion! πŸ₯°
Huge thanks to our Judge for today Gareth Morrison who also travelled from N.I. We really appreciate the expert knowledge of these judges who give up their time and travel long distances to judge our sheep. πŸ™Œ
