ST Flannans Fishing Club St Flannans Fishing Club was Founded in 1987 St. Flannan’s Fishing Club was founded in 1987 to promote angling and river rehabilitation, on Lough Derg.

Situated at the Mouth of Lough Derg the main fishing activities are trolling for Pike, Trout and Fly Fishing. The Membership of the Club comes from a wide catchment area and consists of a large family membership. St Flannan’s Fishing Club runs a number of Competitions during the year and assists in the International Pike Fly Competition held in mid September.

There was plenty of fish caught with over 30 fish being weighed in.
1st Kevin Grimes – 109cm
2nd Danny O’Sullivan – 357.5cm (top 4 fish)
3rd Adrian & James Power – 103cm

There was a good turnout on the day with over a dozen boats on the water. Many thanks to reddans for hosting us.
There was just 2 fish weighed in, both caught by John Burns 49cm.
Lucky dip went to Danny O Sullivan.
Next Sunday is a double competition. It's the start of our 3 day pike comp for members only and also the Seanie Power and Dougie Gage memorial sponsored by Mark Power.

An interclub competition for trout was kindly sponsored by Eoin Power, Diarmuid Fitzgerald and John Burns. A mixed day in terms of fishing with only 4 fish weighed in.
