A wild and wonderful day trip to Slea Head a week or so ago was magnificent with a walk out along lands end called 'Cosan Chuas na Nae'(path along the inlet). The sun was shining and the seas were churning and boy was it beautiful & refreshing with the sea water covering us in a very fine light saltwater mist !

Nice to get over and explore Gleninchaquin Park yesterday which nestled in the Caha Mountains outside Kenmare and not far from the Cork border(about an hour away). What a real treat and it's here waiting for you all to see it when the big mess is finally over. Not a lot of sunshine but that didn't dampen our spirits, we took the red loop which packed a nice punch in a short hike !!

The Beara Peninsula(like no other): Incredible day out today on the road less traveled,over 100 miles of breathtaking scenery. We followed the Ring of Beara from Lauragh and kilmakilloge Pier through Ardgroom onto Eyeries and Allihies with stunning vistas from bend to bend,hugging mountains and rugged coast to still lakes to vibrant fauna, we had it all. Onto Castletownbere and returning over the rock strewn Caha Mountains & the daunting Healy Pass back to Kenmare and onto Killarney via Molls Gap.
