Millview Livestock We aim to produce Texels with size, power correctness for the commercial farmer and pedigree breeders

The Millview Flock was established with the purchase of some of the top Irish and UK bloodlines in
the game. With the aim to produce high-quality Texel sheep focusing to breeding superior genetics
along with high terminal and replacement index stock. We have a strong focus on producing sheep with excellent conformation & desirable traits, we
carefully select our breeding stock to ensure the best c

haracteristics are passed on to future
generations. We aim to produce Texel sheep that have good muscling, strong bone structure, and a
balanced body shape. These traits make them well-suited for both meat production and breeding
purposes. The purchase of females from all Ireland winning flocks such as Annakisha, kilcurley,
Thornville and Hillswood including females bought overseas from Milinbank, Ettrick and Tanamoney
have left their mark in the flock. The purchase of rams Harestone Commander, Forge Big Gun, Hope valley Classic have all left super
females. With the new purchase of the Blessington champion Hillcrest Gucci this year looking
forward to seeing what progression he will bring to the flock. In addition to breeding top-quality sheep, we also participated in the show ring for the first time this
year. Initial high performance in the show ring was an indicator that we are moving in the right
direction. We had success at the National Championships placing 2 nd and 3 rd in a strong novice ewe
lamb class , demonstrating the quality of our breeding program.
