Anyone else feel like Summer was a blur of sunshine filled days and that all of a sudden the Autumn switch has been flipped? This time of year is our most prolific for veg before the temperature drops. We have really really appreciated every busy weekend and all the support as it makes the hard work of farming so worthwhile 💛 if you are around this weekend pop in as we’ll have a huge amount of veg, our fresh lamb & the usual treats!

Hello a little farm update! We are now fully in the time of plenty 🥦 which often coincides with holidays and people going away so if you are around we truly appreciate everyone popping in and picking up some chemical free veg on the weekend. Every vegetable was planned last autumn, seeded in the Autumn or Spring, nurtured through torrential rain & wind and now having its time in the sun. We use no heavy machinery-everything is done by hand by Will (our green fingered, always cheerful head gardener), Arthur and the volunteers we take on during the growing season. It’s a labour of love 💚
We are having to water like mad now to keep things alive but it’s also such a credit to no-dig gardening how much the soil retains the moisture. We sadly said goodbye to two of our pigs and we’ll have our pasture raised pork back in stock soon. Back open Saturday & Sunday🌻 see you on the weekend 💛

Unfortunately the ForestSchool leader who was going to be taking on this project has had to pull out due to her health so we are back to looking for a Forest School teacher! If you are a qualified Forest school leader and interested please get in touch 🙌 We will send out an update as soon as we can. Thank you for understanding and very sorry to disappoint anyone 💚

Its been another busy week on the farm! It’s the beginning of the season of plenty and we have lots more variety in the shop. It wouldn’t be a growing season without a glut and this week it’s beautiful rainbow beetroots 🫜 tomorrow is our big harvest day and the farm stall will be fully stocked and open Saturday & Sunday 10am-5pm.

It’s almost the time of Summer abundance! Pop into the Piggery this weekend and pick up some of our chemical free fresh veggies, flowers & lamb. We’ll have more of our pork in soon. It’s been the most gloriously sunny week and everything has been given a huge burst of life. We started off the week attending the very inspiring Farming For Nature festival where we got to chat all things sustainable farming. And then straight back into our first organic conversion inspection (hopefully we did all the paperwork correctly 😅) and harvesting and getting everything ready for the weekend. Hopefully see you all tomorrow & Sunday.

We’ve been quietly working on this idea for a while!! We are so excited to have Almi a qualified Forest School Leader on board to try set up an after-school Forest school on the farm. We are trying to gauge interest and to see what times & days work best!
