Aughavas GAA Club Notes

Lotto:

Div. 1 League:
We played Mohill on Friday evening last in Aughavas in Round 6 of Div 1 League. Mohill proved to be the stronger superior team on the evening and ran out comfortable winners. Hard luck to the team and management. Our next outing is an away game against St Marys, Kiltoghert in Pairc Naomh Muire, Carrick-on-Shannon on Saturday evening next at 7pm.

Reserve League Div 3
On Sunday last we played a competitive game against Glenfarne- Kilty in which Aughavas was victorious, well done lads. In the next round of this competition we meet Mohill in a home game in Aughavas at 3pm Sunday 14th June.

Membership: Thanks to everyone who has renewed their club membership for 2026. It is essential that all underage and adult players are fully registered. Leitrim GAA
The inter-county campaign came to end last Saturday 6th June at the hands of a stronger Wexford team as Leitrim exited the Tailteann Cup competition. Thanks to the team and management for providing us with some exciting, enjoyable football over the Season and we look forward to seeing Eanna back in the club colours very soon.

Leitrim Ladies
Comhghairdeas to Leitrim Ladies GFA who had a comfortable victory over Fermanagh in the All-Ireland Series on Sunday last. They have now booked a place in the All- Ireland Intermediate Quarter Final. Well done to all St Joseph’s representatives.

Sympathy
Aughavas GAA extend our condolences to the Heslin families in Aughavas & Carrigallen on the sad passing of Sean Heslin. Sean won 2 Senior Championships with Aughavas in 1963 1966 where he played a key role as full back and team captain. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.

Cúl Camps
Aughavas are delighted to announce that we will be hosting Cúl Camps again this year. Registration is now open with limited spaces left. The dates are 27th-31st July.

Aughavas GAA Club are saddened to learn of the passing of Sean Heslin, We wish to extend our sincere sympathy to the Heslin Family, Carrigallen and Aughavas. An Aughavas stalwart, Sean played a key role as a formitable full back & team captain, winning 2 Senior Championships with Aughavas in 1963 & 1966. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.

We've had a fantastic few weeks at Nursery, with the children growing in confidence, developing new skills, and making great friendships along the way. We're back tomorrow morning at 11am on the Astro Turf in Aughavas 🏐🥅
