🌸 First Week Complete as owners of Lawless Flowers! 🌸

What an incredible first week as the new owners of this beautiful business! We couldn’t be more grateful to our amazing team who poured their hearts into this week in the face of the emotions of Dan & Clive retiring , every customer smile, and every detail that makes Lawless Flowers so special, you did it this week.

Your hard work, dedication, and passion this week has been nothing short of inspiring. To celebrate and say a huge thank you, we treated the team to a well-deserved lunch in Lana. It was the perfect moment to relax, laugh, and reflect on an unforgettable first week together.

Here’s to many more weeks of growth, creativity, and beautiful flowers ahead! 💐

Today marks a very special day for our family — a day we’ve been working towards for quite some time. Today, Joe and I are handed the keys to Lawless Flowers as the new owners. But before this new chapter begins, we first get to celebrate my incredible uncle Dan on his very last day in the shop… although I have a feeling we’ll still be calling him back in every now and again 🤣

People often speak to me about my Nana Nancy and the legacy she created when she founded the business in 1982, but my own memories of the shop are filled with Dan and Clive. From visiting the old shop on Bedford Row as a child, to later working there myself, and then years later my husband Joe joining the team for the last 7 years — the shop has always been a huge part of our lives.

Lawless Flowers has never just been “a flower shop” to our family — and I know it hasn’t been that way for so many others either. Dan has always had a way of making people feel welcome. Many of his nieces and nephews, myself included, spent different periods of our lives working in the shop. We probably weren’t always needed, but somehow Dan always found jobs for us to do. The shop became more than just a workplace — it became a place full of memories, laughter, life lessons, hard work, and family.

The dedication, care, and heart Dan and Clive have given this business over the years is impossible to put into words. Through every wedding, celebration, and difficult goodbye, they were always there with kindness and care.

While today marks the end of an important chapter, it also marks the beginning of a new one, as the business is passed on to the next generation of our family. Joe and I feel incredibly honoured to continue what my Nana Nancy first started all those years ago.

To Dan and Clive — thank you for everything ❤️

**IM NOT A CHEF** 🫡 that brisket was insane!! 👏

This has always been the way my mother made our stew when we were young and it’s the best way IMO!

I don’t normally add turnip but we tried it and it worked I think, adds good flavor to that sauce which I love.

A good thick sauce is what mine always looks like, if you have watery sauce in yours then that’s ok but you should be mortified for yourself lol 😂😂

📍 Shake Dog Childers Road 🫡

It was interesting that Jace remembered this place so we had to go! It’s a great family atmosphere here and the kids love it & like I said, it gives the parents some time alone to eat haha

Well done to the team here, watching the process of staff cleaning was interesting as well, all salt and ketchup bottles cleaned down after customers leave which is great to see. This place is a must visit, great deals here as well and the team work hard to grow their business which you have to respect.

Go check them out, they are open for breakfast also and I have a video up of that it is incredible!
