We are very grateful to our sponsors Flogas Ireland for making this beautiful and very functional cookery unit available to us for the Burren Slow Food Festival - and the audience will be grateful as well once they taste what the four chefs will be cooking and baking! 😄

Without this generosity, we would not be able to enjoy the chefs and them sharing the secrets of their trade with us.

Here's to a vibrant and joyful festival - we can't wait!

Don't miss out on a magical night at the Burren Storehouse! There are only a few tickets left.

The Burren Slow Food Banquet will be held tonight at 7pm, and the evening will start with a luxurious glass of Champagne for our guests!

Head Chef Peter Jackson and his talented team from the Roadside Tavern next door will spoil us with a 4-course dinner using the tastes and goodness of locally sourced ingredients.

There will be a one or two surprises along the way, but we were sworn to secrecy. Sorry, you will have to find out yourself!

After dinner, there will be music in the The Roadside Tavern & The Burren Storehouse for you to enjoy.

This is the link you need to book the last few tickets - be quick or be sorry:

We are more than happy that we were able to get Deirdre Flanagan to run the pop-up café this Sunday at the Burren Slow Food Festival! Just looking at the pictures of her creations will make you come to the festival!

Deirdre very successfully sells her beautifully decorated cakes and savoury salads and bites at the Kinvara Farmers Market. She also has run cafés and knows what the audience wants!

The Burren Slow Food Festival is not only about food - it's also about community and knowing the place you live in. We have invited Burrenbeo Trust, the The Burren and Cliffs of Moher UNESCO Global Geopark, the Visit the Burren, National Parks and Wildlife Service with their fantastic "info mobile" and Leave No Trace Ireland so you can chat to their teams about the work they are doing.

Find out what positive impacts these organisations have, and how you can either join them or support them in their efforts.

We are going to try something new to make our Burren Slow Food Festival even more sustainable: The Circular Cup for Community Events Programme!

Choosing reusable cups for events and festivals will make a big difference to the environment by preventing waste and reducing litter.

There are two different kinds of cups - one for hot and one for cold drinks. We will be renting them for the festival to be used by the drink vendors. Once used, the visitors of the festival will drop them off again at certain spots.

After the festival, the cups will be collected, washed, dried and stored at a new cup washing facility and will be available for the next small scale community events in the south of the republic.
