Digital confidence was the main barrier holding Rita back. And, according to our latest report, 'Closing the Confidence Gap', it's the same for many over 65s.

Despite 91% of older adults saying they use digital devices daily, only 1 in 3 of them feel confident navigating new digital tools. That's why programmes like Hi Digital are so important.

🇪🇺 Have your say on fairness, ageing, and Europe!

Active Retirement Ireland invites members to join our Older Voices for Fairness regional workshops this October.

These workshops are part of ARI’s Communicating Europe Initiative 2025, supported by the Department of Foreign Affairs. Together, we will:

✅ Explore how the EU can act as a catalyst for fairness, equality, and solidarity between generations.
✅ Share your views on ageing and intergenerational fairness.
✅ Help shape a new “Older Voices for Fairness” policy statement, which will be shared with Irish and EU policymakers.

📍 Workshops will take place in:

Navan (Meath) – Monday 20 October 2025

Cork (City) – Tuesday 21 October 2025

Kilkenny (City) – Friday 24 October 2025 (amended from Thursday 23 October)

🕙 From 10:00 am | Morning refreshments & lunch provided
